How silently, how silently The wondrous Gift is giv’n!You can’t sing real Christmas carols without being reminded that you are a sinner in need of a savior. It you are ready, so is He. Of course if you don’t believe in sin this is just a Santa Claus moment for you: You put up the pictures but don’t really believe.
So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heav’n.
No ear may hear His coming; But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him still,
The dear Christ enters in.

I don't truly believe that we should be celebrating Christmas, but there certainly has been some beautiful music, poetry and literature written because of the Cause.
