It makes my nose look bigger. It shows up every flaw. It doesn’t give the complete picture. But then, it was designed that way. If I don’t like what I see I can flip it over.
I am talking, of course, about one of those mirrors that have a normal view on one side and a magnified view on other. I have known about them for years and thought they were for things like plucking your eyebrows and putting on lip liner. Since I never do those things they were off my radar.
Then I got older. Then my eyes didn’t focus as well. Then I realized that instead of trying to lean closer over the sink I could bring the mirror to me and magnify the image. It works.
If you have ever noticed those old men who seem to have missed spots when they were shaving, it looked that way because they missed spots when they were shaving. If you know someone like that, buy them one of those cool mirrors for Christmas. You might need to explain what it was for or they might start plucking their eyebrows.
