Opus 2013-330: On the Street: An Example of the New Economy

Bag ladies have something in common with me as a child.

As I was pulling out of a parking lot I saw a bag lady pounding on a newspaper kiosk trying to dislodge any change in the coin return.  I salute her efforts.  It reminded me of myself as a child.  One of my hopes was to find change in pay phone coin returns.  The tragedy comes from seeing adults who have had every opportunity going around trying to find spare change out of vending machines.

My fear is that this is in the future for many of us.

  1. We reached our pinnacle in the late 50's, I fear (or maybe WWII). Whenever it was, it's all downhill from here.

    1. I keep hoping that the momentum will propel us up the other side but I can't see the other side yet.

    2. I guess I just feel that the time is upon us that some of the prophesies will be fulfilled, Pumice.

    3. I am not into prophecy very much but even I can see what you are talking about and agree with you.
