Drudge had the title, “DOCTOR SHORTAGE WORSENS IN UK...” which linked to The Independent in England. It seems that life in the world of socialized medicine is not going well.
It says that doctors are happy to work under the Health Service. If that is the case, why are so many of them fleeing the country after they get their training? One of the solutions being proposed is making it difficult for doctors to leave the country. There have been other articles in the recent past about how the waiting periods for surgery are getting longer in Great Britain all the time. There are some serious problems.
It is probably an oversimplification but I believe that one of the results of socialized medicine is an eventual shortage of health care. When the government tries to give everything to everyone without the means to pay for it, someone pays.
In this case it is the person needing care.
Coming to a country near you if it hasn’t already arrived.

More and more, I just say that I might consider just dying, rather than jump through all the hoops these days. It's the "natural" way after all. The worst thing is that it would make the powers-that-be so happy if everyone took that attitude.
ReplyDeleteJust make sure that when you decide to die that you do it with dignity. I think the day may come when us older folks will be faced with the choice of living a few more years with our family impoverished or trust God and leave our grandchildren something.
DeleteThe same is true of our civilization.
Grace and peace.
